CASE STUDY - Helping a Charity to Review and Re-Focus

 

The Challenge

To assist the CEO and management team with identifying the areas of concern relating to resources, branding, raising the profile and fundraising.

 

Input

EFM carried out a strategic review of the charity to help understand and review its vision, mission, values, brand and finances.Completion of a SWOT analysis outlining areas for improvement and focus.Reviewed organisation's overall strategy identifying new ways of working with employees and volunteers.  Discussed existing brand image, profile and ethos and outlined methods of improving public recognition. Considered existing fundraising strategy and outlined areas of focus for new funding and sponsorship opportunities.

  

Outome

The charity was able to review the services it offered to end-users in line with strategic objectives.The CEO gained the commitment of Trustees to progress changes being considered.A formal programme of people engagement began with focus on volunteer recruitment and retention in order to improve efficiencies.  Stakeholder engagement was recognised as the key to future success and a stakeholder event was

  facilitated to help engage, focus and motivate their people!

The event was designed to focus on brand development as well as marketing and fundraising.
